Latest Updates from Our Project:

January Summary and Pin Safari!
2 months ago – Fri, Jan 30, 2026 at 09:51:21 AM

What a month huh?

As of publishing this, we've unlocked SIX deer, gained 69 backers, and shared a bunch of cool deer facts! I know I've said this plenty, but I do sincerely appreciate each and every one of y'all for making my campaign a reality <3

Y'all also helped my partner in pins Kai unlock their designs, and allowed me to get the hognose pin! I want to thank you all for your interest in both of our campaigns, and if you haven't already go check 'em out! If you back both of us, you get some cool free pins.

As y'all know, I'm a member of the banner Pin Safari, so I wanted to highlight some pin safari campaigns I really like. Clicking each pic takes you straight to the campaign!

Decade Dogs is a campaign highlighting the different eras of fashion with fun doggy pins! I absolutely adore the creativity in his designs, Jennifer is my favorite. He is currently so close to meeting his goal, so go check him out! He's also offering stickers, keychains, and buttons if you're feeling pinned out.

Trash Pack features one of my favorite noncervid animals, the opossum! She perfectly captured the sillyness of these marsupials with her funny and adorable pins. She also has a perfectly shaped opossum plushie with a trash can belly, lookit that tummy!

Smol Farm Pals is an adorable cottagecore campaign with pins that looks straight out of a storybook! I love the cozy vibes of all their pins, just look at those bunnies! She has a mix of big and mini pins available to fit anywhere on your board.

Cuddle Frogs is working to get their adorable froggy plush funded! It has an zippable mouth to store goodies in, and adorable flower eyes for lookin hard at ya. They still have early bird prices available, so get 'em while you can!

And last but not least is Yeen Vibes Only! A spunky enamel pin collection featuring everyone's favorite more-cat-than-dog, the hyena. These colorful pins perfectly capture the fun-loving and goofy side of these African not-puppies.

Thanks for reaching the bottom of the page! As a treat, here's a fun deer fact.

The Barbary stag of Africa is currently considered a subspecies of red deer. Current genetic research is showing that this subspecies is incredibly closely related to to other subspecies of red deer, the Corsican red deer and the Italian red deer. It is believed they may have originated from one population that was introduced into these separate regions.

Scientists are currently trying to determine how closely related they are, and some argue they should be their own species separate from the red deer. However, a lot more research is required to make that sort of conclusion.

(all that text and no 69 joke in sight, bless✨)

Sika Deer (Barely) Unlocked!
2 months ago – Mon, Jan 26, 2026 at 05:48:59 AM

Hey y'all!

I hope I'm not spamming y'all with too many updates, but I wanted to share some good news. The sika deer pin has been unlocked! By $7! Technically, we raised enough yesterday, but I wanted to make sure there weren't any cancelled pledges that brought that number down... I don't wanna send out an email going "sorry, I lied! it's not unlocked anymore"

Fun fact, there's a population of Sika deer in Nara, Japan that learned to bow to human visitors! They're quite polite little fellas.

Now we only have 2 pins left to unlock, the Roe Deer and Red Brocket Deer! And the white guys of course <3

The roe deer hails from Europe and has a bright white rump which they show off to other deer of danger, similar to a white-tailed deer. They will also make a very strange 'barking' noise, which sounds closer to a human yell than a dog's bark.

Red brocket deer are a fairly small species of deer that hide along thick undergrowth in the marsh and jungles of South America. They tend to have lower stamina than other deer and run for shorter distances, but they are exceptional swimmers so it balances out.

That's all the fun facts I got, maybe next update will cover some for the already unlocked species.

Marsh Deer UNLOCKED
2 months ago – Sat, Jan 24, 2026 at 09:10:28 AM

Hey y'all!
We just unlocked the Marsh Deer pin, giving us our first deer of South America. We now have every deer-having continent represented!

We've almost reached the 48-hour mark! If you want a free toothy sticker, make sure you pledge before 1pm EST ✨

WE'RE FUNDED!!

Yippee!!! As of writing this, we've raised $1,400 for my special lil deer, and unlocked four designs! Our main goal was reached so quickly. I was chowing down on sushi when y'all unlocked the white-tailed deer and fallow deer. Seeing my goal reached was sweeter than any dessert! And now we have the Siberian musk deer and Barbary stag joining us!

I want to thank each and every one of y'all for supporting me so far. It truly means the world to me that so many different people like these silly fellas. The amount of support over a very short 24 hours is staggering, and I truly appreciate each and every one of y'all.

We're just $200 away from the marsh deer of South America, I'm hoping we can keep the ball rolling and have a deer for every continent. Well, every continent that has native deer...

First Two Pins!
2 months ago – Mon, Jan 19, 2026 at 12:02:50 PM

Hey everyone!

Pintopia starts in three days and I've been working away at the last of the project. Everything has been designed, so now it's just a matter of formatting and making everything look pretty. It's all making me wish I knew graphic design haha. I think I've improved from my last Pintopia, but I'll have to see...

All that aside, I wanted to give y'all a quick sneak peak at the first two pins!

These feature the White-tailed Deer of my neck of the woods, and the Fallow Deer of Europe and West Asia! Each pin will be 1.5" gold plated, and hard enamel with some cute screen printed details.

I'll see y'all there!
